I’ve been making US vs. Canada content for eight years—and now, suddenly, it’s the hottest topic online? Look, I don’t want to say I was ahead of my time, but let’s just agree that Nostradamus and I have some things in common.
That said, my goal has never been to drive a wedge between our two countries. If anything, I’ve been trying to bring Canadians and Americans closer together. We’re neighbours, and we rely on one another in ways we don’t always realize. So, seeing us get pitted against each other (mostly by ahem certain political moves south of the border) is frustrating. But hey, if there’s a silver lining, it’s that Canadians haven’t been this united since the 2010 Gold Medal win in Vancouver.
Here’s the thing: we have to stand together, because Canada is not for sale. But even as we hold our ground, let’s remember that most Americans didn’t ask for this. They’re our friends, our family, and our favourite source of questionable Florida headlines. So while we stay strong, let’s also stay Canadian—kind, reasonable, and always ready to forgive when the dust settles.
Because at the end of the day, we’ll still be right here, reminding them that ‘Zed’ is the correct way to say it.
As for my shirt, I got it from my friends at OhCanadaShop and I thought you might appreciate it! If you want your own, use my code JOSEPH15 for 15% off!
